Yale New Haven Health and Hartford HealthCare have joined the Aegis Digital Consortium, a national alliance led by Aegis Ventures to co-develop and deploy AI-powered healthtech solutions that address urgent healthcare challenges.
The consortium now includes 14 regional health systems representing nearly 8% of U.S. healthcare operations. Through joint investment and innovation, members aim to improve patient care, modernize operations, and create new revenue streams. This collaborative model emphasizes healthcare transformation through technological partnerships.
Pamela Sutton-Wallace, President of Yale New Haven Health, said, “Joining the Aegis Digital Consortium builds upon the mission of Yale New Haven Health's Center for Health Care Innovation, by expanding our efforts for creating, identifying, fostering and scaling healthcare innovations. Together with other leading health systems, we can enhance the lives of people we serve through disruptive innovations and initiatives that transform healthcare delivery.”
Barry Stein, MD, MBA, Chief Clinical Innovation Officer at Hartford HealthCare, emphasized Connecticut's innovation ecosystem: “At Hartford HealthCare, we are committed to becoming the most consumer-centric healthcare system. Dr. John Noseworthy, Chairman of the Aegis Digital Consortium and Emeritus CEO of Mayo Clinic, added, “These three renowned health systems reflect a demonstrated commitment to transformation and innovation leadership at the local, regional, national, and international level.
