Trinity Health Of New England appointed Robert Roose, MD, MPH, as President of Acute Care, giving him leadership over Saint Francis Hospital, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, Johnson Memorial Hospital, and Saint Mary's Hospital in Connecticut.
Trinity Health Of New England is an integrated nonprofit health care delivery system formed in 2015 and a member of Trinity Health, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation, serving communities in 22 states. Roose will also continue supporting Mercy Medical Center during its planned transition to Baystate Health, pending regulatory approval.
Roose joined Trinity Health Of New England in 2013 and has held several leadership positions, including Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Behavioral Health at Mercy Medical Center, where he helped guide the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic while advancing quality and patient care initiatives. Most recently, he served as President of Mercy Medical Center, Johnson Memorial Hospital, and Saint Mary's Hospital, where the hospitals achieved multiple Leapfrog "A" Safety Grades, service line growth, and expanded access to care.
