Lifespan Vision Ventures, a Norwalk-based venture capital firm, is leading Remedium Bio, Inc.'s $10 million Series A financing to advance the company's durable protein therapeutics platform toward first-in-human clinical development.
Lifespan Vision Ventures invests in early-stage biotechnology companies developing technologies to prevent and treat age-related diseases, partnering with founders advancing science-driven solutions for healthy aging. The round's initial closing included participation from Eli Lilly and Company and HKX Capital, with Harry Robb of Lifespan Vision Ventures joining Remedium's Board of Directors.
Remedium is developing durable protein therapeutics enabling controlled, long-lasting expression of therapeutic proteins following minimally invasive subcutaneous administration, harnessing adipocytes as a durable site for protein production with potential multi-year benefit for patients with chronic diseases. The company's proprietary Prometheus platform aims to replace subcutaneously administered protein therapies with single-injection, adjustable gene therapies, with a pipeline targeting endocrinology, immunology, neurology, and musculoskeletal diseases.
