Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center (OASC) in Rocky Hill, has been named to Newsweek’s America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2027 list, recognizing clinical quality and patient safety in outpatient orthopedic surgery.
Newsweek recognized 750 ambulatory surgery centers nationwide, including 61 with orthopedics identified as a standout specialty. Six of the recognized centers are in Connecticut. The rankings draw on four data sources: quality metrics focused on surgical indicators, peer recommendations and quality assessments from a national online survey, patient experience survey results, and accreditation data.
Orthopedic Associates of Hartford and Constitution Surgery Alliance developed the center in 2004 as the region’s first physician-owned orthopedic surgery center. The partnership now owns and operates three ambulatory surgery centers.

The Newsweek honor adds to the center’s record of national recognition. The Leapfrog Group named it a Top Ambulatory Surgery Center for three consecutive years, in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The center’s specialties span total joint replacement, sports medicine, pain management, physiatry, and foot, ankle, hand and wrist surgery.
