Tia Reid, Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services at LifeBridge Community Services in Bridgeport, has been selected and certified as an International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Surveyor, joining a select group of professionals who evaluate health and human service organizations against rigorous accreditation standards.
"Throughout my career, I've been passionate about building systems that promote quality, accountability, and continuous improvement in behavioral health services," said Reid. "Serving as a CARF Surveyor is an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the field while continuing to learn from organizations committed to excellence."
CARF Surveyors are chosen directly by CARF based on professional qualifications and experience, and serve independently from their home organizations. Reid will conduct survey activities separately from her role at LifeBridge, in accordance with CARF's policies governing surveyor independence and objectivity. Through the appointment, she will collaborate with organizations worldwide and gain exposure to emerging best practices in behavioral health quality, compliance, and systems improvement.
"We are incredibly proud of Tia and this well-deserved recognition of her expertise," said Edith Boyle, President and CEO of LifeBridge Community Services. "Her selection as a CARF Surveyor reflects the respect she has earned within the behavioral health field."
LifeBridge Community Services is a CARF-accredited nonprofit that has served Greater Bridgeport for more than 175 years, delivering mental health services and partnering with individuals, youth, and families to improve well-being and build community resilience.
