In a new effort to strengthen access to coordinated health services in Connecticut, LifeBridge Community Services and Pediatric Healthcare Associates (PHA) have partnered to provide integrated behavioral and pediatric care for families across Greater Bridgeport. The collaboration brings together two trusted providers to meet the growing demand for comprehensive, family-centered health services.
Families served by PHA now benefit from onsite access to LifeBridge clinicians for behavioral health counseling, while LifeBridge clients have improved referral pathways to PHA’s preventive and chronic pediatric care. This integrated model helps reduce emergency visits, improve treatment adherence, and support overall child development and family functioning.
“Our mission has always been to provide high-quality, compassionate pediatric care that supports the whole child,” said Dr. Andrea Hagani, MD, FAAP, CEO and President of Pediatric Health Associates. “By collaborating with LifeBridge, we're building a stronger safety net for families who often face both medical and emotional challenges.”
LifeBridge President and CEO Edith Boyle, LCSW, added, “When behavioral health care is offered right in the pediatric setting, families are more likely to seek support and follow through with care, because it starts in a place they already know and trust. This partnership was born from two organizations committed to doing things differently. Together, we’re closing gaps in care and creating a model that truly puts families first.”
Since launching in early October, over 75 children have already been referred for behavioral health support, reflecting strong community need. Both organizations say the partnership advances their shared mission to promote equitable access to health and wellness across Connecticut.
