Connecticut's economy continues to thrive, and the healthcare sector is a major driving force. With job growth exceeding 4% in 2024, healthcare is not only a vital service but also a significant contributor to the state's economic prosperity.

The recent release of December 2024 employment data by the Connecticut Department of Labor reveals continued strength in the labor market, with the healthcare and social assistance sector adding 1,300 jobs. This robust growth builds on a year of significant expansion, with the sector adding over 12,500 jobs in 2024 alone.

This consistent growth underscores healthcare's crucial role in driving Connecticut's economic development. As the state enjoys historically low unemployment rates, the healthcare sector remains a pillar of stability and a significant source of employment opportunities for residents.  Check out the DOL’s most recent report here:   December 2024 CT Labor Data
