The Connecticut Insurance Department will hold a virtual public hearing September 1, 2026, on Medicare supplement insurance rate requests filed by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut.

The hearing, scheduled for 9:00 a.m., will consider rate requests across Anthem's pre-standardized, modernized, and standardized Medicare supplement plans, with proposed increases ranging from 5.20% to 19.90% depending on the plan. 

Representatives of Anthem, along with any party or intervenor designated by the Insurance Commissioner and the appointed hearing officer, will have the opportunity to appear and be heard concerning the requested rates at the hearing.

The public will have an opportunity to comment on the requested rates at the hearing officer's discretion, and written statements may be submitted during the hearing's public comment portion or filed with the Insurance Department by close of business September 1, 2026.
