Elidah, a Newtown, Connecticut medical device company, has received FDA clearance for Elitone for Men, a non-invasive at-home therapy designed to help men regain bladder control following prostate surgery — addressing a men's healthcare condition that affects millions but often goes undertreated.

Urinary incontinence is among the most common complications following prostate procedures. Up to 80% of men experience bladder leakage immediately after surgery, and roughly 20% continue to face moderate to severe symptoms a year later. Despite the condition's prevalence, many men underestimate its impact or expect it to resolve on its own, often delaying care.

Elitone for Men delivers external neuromuscular stimulation to activate and strengthen pelvic floor muscles, supporting recovery without invasive procedures or clinic visits. The device is designed for 20-minute daily home sessions. In clinical studies, men using it reached at eight weeks the same continence levels that control patients reached at twelve weeks.

By the twelve-week mark, device users showed a 92% reduction in leakage, compared to 68% among the control group. The therapy is available over the counter and is covered by Medicare for eligible patients — expanding access to structured rehabilitation earlier in recovery.

"Recovery improves with active rehabilitation, especially in the early weeks after surgery. Elitone for Men delivers structured at-home therapy that helps patients regain continence and get back to normal faster," said Dr. Joseph Renzulli, urologist at Yale Medicine.

"For too long, men facing urinary incontinence after prostate surgery have had limited options to actively improve their recovery, making it one of the most frustrating parts of the process," said Eric Kolb, co-founder of Elidah. "We created Elitone for Men as a simple yet powerful at-home solution designed to help patients see meaningful improvement sooner, while also being easy to use and incorporate into daily routines, giving patients a way to actively support their recovery, rather than waiting and hoping it improves."

Elitone for Men is currently available for preorder, with broader U.S. availability expected in April 2026. The launch reflects Elidah's broader commitment to advancing pelvic health for both men and women through non-invasive, at-home therapies.
