Cigna Group Appoints New Chief Medical Officer and Expands Innovation Efforts

Bloomfield-headquartered Cigna has named Dr. Amy Flaster as Chief Medical Officer of The Cigna Group, expanding her role to include oversight across both Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth. A practicing primary care physician, Dr. Flaster previously served as Chief Medical Officer of Cigna Healthcare and brings extensive experience in hospital leadership, technology, and value-based care.

Cigna also announced that Katya Andresen, Chief Digital & Analytics Officer, will lead the company’s Excellence and Transformation (XT) initiatives. Under her direction, XT efforts will focus on improving access to care, deploying digital tools, and enhancing patient experiences across all touchpoints.
